SIMPLE SANDAL ADJUSTMENT

To ensure that your sandals last as long as possible and are comfortable with every step, it is important to give them occasional care and minor adjustments. Properly adjusted and maintained sandals not only fit better, but also last longer and retain their appearance and functionality. 

In this section, you will find practical tips on how to easily adjust your sandals at home - from shortening the sole and paracord cords, to cleaning them and repairing a damaged paracord cord.

HOW TO SHORTEN SOLE WHEN THEY ARE LARGE

If your soles are longer or stick out more than you like in some places, there's no need to return them. The sole rubber can be easily adjusted to the exact shape of your foot by simply trimming it.

  • All you need to trim is sharp enough office scissors to make a clean and straight cut.

  • Put on the sandal and tighten it to the ideal position, only then mark the place to shorten.

  • Always trim in small increments – it is better to trim gradually than too much.

A properly shortened sole should not restrict the foot's movement in any way.

HOW TO EASILY WASH AND CLEAN SANDALS

Sandals are often exposed to dust, sweat and dirt from the road. Since the sole is made of rubber, cleaning is very easy and helps maintain its appearance.

  1. Rinse the sandals with lukewarm water.

  2. Use a brush or sponge.

  3. Add soap or natural cleaning agents.

  4. Rinse thoroughly and let air dry.

Do not dry sandals on a heater or in a dryer - high temperatures can damage the material.

HOW TO REPAIR A PARACORD ROPE WHEN DAMAGED

Paracord is very durable, but with prolonged use it can start to fray, tear, or unravel. The good news is that repairing it is quick and easy.

  • Re-tie the loose end.

  • Use a lighter or candle to heat the end of the cable or the frayed part of the cable.

  • Once the material begins to melt, remove from the source.

  • Carefully smooth it with your fingers or a flat object (be careful not to burn yourself).

The cord sealed in this way will not fray and the sandal will be fully functional again.
